Pia Eiringhaus joined Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg in November 2018. She is working towards her doctorate in the context of the DFG-funded project ‘Precarious kinship. Negotiations about adoption and incest after 1945’, which explores the post-1945 history of adoption in the Federal Republic of Germany. Before coming to our institute, Pia was a researcher at the Institute for Social Movements in Bochum. She spent the autumn of 2018 as a Research Fellow at the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil. She completed her history and teaching degree at Ruhr-Universität Bochum in March 2017. Pia recently published the monograph Industrie wird Natur. Postindustrielle Repräsentationen von Region und Umwelt im Ruhrgebiet, Schriftenreihe der Stiftung Bibliothek des Ruhrgebiets (Essen: Klartext 2018).
