Jessica Dalljo, MA
researcher
After completing the degree in Educational Science at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, Jessica Dalljo joined the History of Education research unit as a researcher in October 2020. Her research interests centre on the twentieth-century history of childhood, adolescence, the family, and education, as informed by media and education history. Specific foci of her work include former East Germany and aspects of postcolonial theory. The doctoral research in which Jessica Dalljo is currently engaged explores questions of representation of and discourses around solidarity practices in GDR children’s media.
